Syracuse Basketball Recruiting: Visitor List vs Notre Dame
Syracuse basketball will host three elite recruits for the Orange's game against Notre Dame, sources confirm. Class of 2025 prospects Matt Gilhool and Sadiq White will be in attendance, as will class of 2026 guard Deron Rippey. Here is more information on each.
Gilhool is a 6-10 prospect who can play the four or the five. He is rated a four star prospect and ranked in the top 80 in the class of 2025 overall. He was offered by the Orange in August after a strong elite camp performance and stars for William Penn Charter in Pennsylvania. Gilhool took an official visit to Syracuse this past fall and raved about his experience. He also holds offers from Iowa, Maryland, Miami, Mississippi State, Penn State, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Washington, Wisconsin and others.
White is a 6-8 forward who is rated a four prospect and ranked a top 30 overall prospect. He likely projects as a power forward at the collegiate level. White took an unofficial this past fall and said afterwards the Orange would definitely get an official. That has yet to be scheduled, but contact between the two sides has been consistent. In addition to Syracuse, White holds offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Illinois, LSU, NC State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and others.
Rippey is a class of 2026 point guard, rated as a four star prospect and ranked in the top 30 in his class. He plays for Blair Academy in New Jersey and is a highly coveted lead guard. In addition to Syracuse, he holds offers from Oklahoma State, St. John's, TCU, Texas A&M, Washington and others.
