Will Black Has High Interest in Syracuse After Earning Offer
Class of 2025 offensive lineman Will Black is originally from Canada but has come to the United States to play high school football. He is now at Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut and is listed at 6-7, 295 pounds. Black has been one of the hottest offensive linemen over the last week, picking up offers from Penn State, Syracuse, Miami, Pittsburgh and Appalachian State.
The offer from Syracuse came during his visit this past weekend for the spring game.
"I sat with coach Farmer and coach Guard and they told me how much they liked my film," Black said. "That they believe they can develop me and send me to the NFL. Then I sat with coach Babers and he told me I was being offered a full scholarship to Syracuse.
"I was very happy and pleased. It was a committable offer so I could have committed right there, but it's going to take time to make a decision."
As a class of 2025 prospect, Black has a long ways to go in his recruiting process. That said, his recent visit to Syracuse certainly has the Orange as a factor at this point in his recruitment.
"Meeting the coaches was very nice," Black said. "I was able to see some of the facilities and they were awesome. I got to see parts of the campus and I thought it was a very nice school with a huge campus. We watched the spring game and I got to see how the offense and defense played there. Both played well, it was a good battle and great experience.
"Interest is definitely high. I like all the coaches a lot. It was hard to find any negatives about my visit. They clearly have the tools to send Canadian linemen to the NFL with the example of Bergeron."
