After the Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball team was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament by virtue of a 100-95 regional semifinals loss to No. 1 seed Houston, rumors swirled regarding the status of senior forward Andersson Garcia.

Per the college basketball recruiting website Verbal Commits, Garcia was rumored to be headed to the transfer portal. But it didn't take long for Garcia to dispell that rumor as he took to social media not long after that rumor was posted.

"I have not entered the transfer portal," Garcia posted on X. "And I will not be entering the transfer portal. I am, and was always returning to Texas A&M. GigEm, Andersson Garcia."

Garcia scored 12 points and posted five rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in the Aggies' loss to Houston on March 25 in 41 minutes of play.

For the season, Garcia led Texas A&M with 9.1 rebounds per game while averaging 6.0 points and 1.5 assists while shooting 55.2 percent from the field on a team that struggled with shooting percentage for most of the season.

The Aggies finished seventh in the SEC with a 21-5 overall record and 9-9 in league play.

The 6-7, 215-pound Garcia was originally a member of the Mississippi State Bulldogs' 2020 recruiting class before he transferred to Texas A&M
