Texas A&M Aggies' Gavin Grahovac Named Best Freshman in SEC Mid-Season Baseball Awards

Texas A&M Aggies freshman outfielder/infielder Gavin Grahovac is having a stellar season - his first at the collegiate level.

The 6-2, 220-pound Villa Park (CA) High School product is ranked as the No. 55 overall prospect and. No. 10 outfielder nationally by Perfect Game, and is already getting national attention as one of the more talented offensive and defensive talents.

And now, mid-way through the 2024 campaing, Grahovac has been named the best freshman in the SEC's mid-season awards.

"The mid-season best freshman award is going to Gavin Grahovac of the Texas A&M Aggies. The freshman outfielder has been a great bat for the Aggies this season. In 29 games, Grahovac has a batting average of .345 with nine home runs and 36 runs batted in. He also has an OPS of 1.098, which includes an on-base percentage of .443 and a slugging percentage of .655.

"Grahovac also has 41 total hits and 10 doubles. His bat is very excellent and the best out of any freshman in the SEC. Keep an eye out for him as he will continue to get better throughout his career."

The Aggies (26-3, 6-3 SEC) sit second in the SEC West standings behind Arkansas (25-3, 9-1 SEC) at the mid-way point and hope to make a run for the SEC title en route to another appearance at the College World Series.
