Multiple Texas A&M Aggies Earn Spots on Perfect Game's Midseason All-American Teams
At the midseason mark, Perfect Game has recognized several Texas A&M Aggies by awarding them spots on their All-American Teams.
Texas A&M's baseball team has embarked on a stellar season, marked by success in various aspects of the game. Alongside notable improvements in pitching, the team boasts a lineup of solid hitters.
Braden Montgomery and Jace LaViolette stand out as an exceptional 1-2 punch, arguably one of the strongest in the league. Gavin Grahovac consistently showcases his skills, positioning himself as a strong contender for Freshman All-American honors by the season's conclusion.
During conference matchups, pitching performance saw a minor decline. Nonetheless, coaches Jim Schlossnagle and Max Weiner adhered to a consistent strategy, deploying the same starting pitchers in each series. This approach yielded positive results, particularly for left-handed pitcher Ryan Prager, who excelled with a perfect 5-0 record, a 2.21 ERA, and an impressive 51 strikeouts.
The Aggies also rely on Evan Aschenbeck's pitching when closing out games, with his stellar 0.94 ERA, unbeaten 4-0 record, three saves, and 35 strikeouts. Additionally, multiple Aggies have been honored with selections to the Perfect Game All-American teams.
