Aggies DH Austin Bost Named D1Baseball Preseason All-American
We are just over two weeks away from the start of baseball season and the Texas A&M Aggies are attempting to make back-to-back College World Series appearances for the first time in program history.
While doing so will be of course easier said than done in a loaded SEC, the Aggies have the benefit of returning plenty of talent from their 2022 team.
Among the returning talent is one of the Aggies' best hitters, Austin Bost.
Bost was an anchor in an Aggies' lineup that hit .291 as a team, slashing .360/.451/.572, while hitting 10 home runs and driving in 45 runs. He split time between the infield and designated hitter for coach Jim Schlossnagle.
Now, Bost enters the season on D1Baseball's preseason All-American Third Team as their designated hitter, marking the Aggies only selection on the site's preseason All-American team.
For an Aggies team looking to get back to Omaha and the College World Series, Bost replicating his success from last season will be imperative.
The Aggies begin their season at home on Feb. 17 against the Seattle Redhawks in a weekend series at Blue Bell Park.
