Aggies Men's Hoops Drops SEC Matchup to Arkansas 81-70: Live Game Log

The Aggies look to extend an SEC winning streak against the Arkansas Razorbacks at Bud Walton Arena on Tuesday night.
In this story:

A Texas A&M conference game is on Tuesday night for the first time this season. After collecting a couple more wins in their last two games, the Aggies (15-6, 7-1 SEC) are set to enter Bud Walton Arena and earn a victory against the Arkansas Razorbacks (14-7, 3-5 SEC).

The Razorbacks, led by guard duo Anthony Black and Ricky Council IV, are coming off of a 67-64 loss in the Big-12 Challenge against Baylor, while the Aggies are in the beginning stages of another conference win streak — fresh off of back-to-back wins against Auburn and Vanderbilt.

Texas A&M is back in the underdog column, however, playing on the road against a team that A&M coach Buzz Williams described as having arguably "the best perimeter in the country".

For an Aggies win, Williams also emphasized not turning the ball over in order to prevent momentum-building by the Razorbacks.

Key for Texas A&M could be solid performances by senior guard Tyrece Radford and junior forward Henry Coleman, both of whom finished with double-digit points in the Aggies' win over Vanderbilt.

A solid defensive showing could also make the difference for the Aggies, who will look to slow down Council and Black en route to a potential road upset against Arkansas.

Live game updates will appear here after tip-off...

The Razorbacks took the tip but immediately turned the ball over. Makhi Mitchell scored on a layup before Wade Taylor IV answered on the other end. Ricky Council IV has the game's only 3-pointer of the night. 14:39 FIRST HALF: Razorbacks 10, Aggies 7

A&M's Tyrece Radford split a pair of foul shots after the timeout to edge the Aggies closer before nailing a jumper to tie the game at 10. ARK's Davonte Davis got in on the long-ball action and Mitchell attacked the rim with an easy layup to extend the ARK lead. 11:21 FIRST HALF: Razorbacks 17, Aggies 12

The Aggies try to play catch up while shooting just 35% from the floor while Arkansas enjoys over 60% shooting prior to the timeout. But both teams went cold before ARK's Graham and A&M's Taylor traded jumpers. 6:09 FIRST HALF: Razorbacks 26, Aggies 20

Marble makes one-of-two free throws and Mitchell lays in an easy two. ARK's Walsh is fouled by Radford while making a layup and nails the foul shot. Radford makes the Aggies' first 3-pointer of the night. 3:52 FIRST HALF: Razorbacks 31, Aggies 26

Walsh hits two foul shots after a Marble hack, then Taylor IV makes a layup and a free throw. Council also hits a pair of foul shots as play has turned sloppy near the end of the first half. ARK has committed seven turnovers to A&M's one. HALFTIME: Razorbacks 42, Aggies 34

Mitchell and Council make consecutive layups for the Razorbacks before A&M's Coleman and Marble score five-straight points before the TV timeout. 16:00 SECOND HALF: Razorbacks 46, Aggies 39

Radford hits one-of-two free throws before ARK's Mitchell and Davis extend the Hogs' lead again. Coleman scores for the Aggies off a nice assist by Radford, who then scored on a 3-pointer. ARK's Walsh answered with a shot from beyond the arc. 10:31 SECOND HALF: Razorbacks 60, Aggies 49

Both teams go cold but Radford and Black trade jumpers, ARK's Davis nails a 3-pointer before the TV timeout, as the Aggies fall behind even further. 7:38 SECOND HALF: Razorbacks 66, Aggies 53

A&M is shooting just 36 percent from the floor and 50 percent from the free throw line, compared to ARK's 53 percent shooting and 76 percent free throws. But the Aggies have fewer turnovers at 16-7. But A&M inches closer with a 15-4 run. 3:45 SECOND HALF: Razorbacks 70, Aggies 64

ARK's Anthony Black hit two free throws with under a minute left as A&M went cold again from the floor making just two of 13 shots after the TV timeout. FINAL: Razorbacks 81, Aggies 70
