Aggies Men's Basketball Blown Out By No. 15 Alabama

The Crimson Tide offense was too much for the Aggies defense in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

The Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball team was run out of Coleman Coliseum on Saturday with a 100-75 rout by the No. 15 Alabama Crimson Tide.

Mark Sears had 23 points, four boards and three assists as Alabama (18-7, 9-2 SEC) kept its hot shooting streak alive. Rylan Griffen scored 17, Latrell Wrightsell Jr. had 16 and Aaron Estrada and Sam Walters both added 11.

Tyrece Radford let the Aggies (15-10, 6-6 SEC) with 22 points and four rebounds while also accounting for five of the Texas A&M 15 turnovers. 

Solomon Washington scored 14 and pulled in eight rebounds, and Henry Coleman III had 12 while Wade Taylor IV scored 10.

The Tide led the game by six points with six minutes left in the first frame but led 49-35 by the time the halftime horn sounded.

A&M closed the gap to single digits just once in the second half.

Sears made four of his seven 3-point attempts and eight of 14 field goals, leading a Tide offense that dominated Texas A&M. Alabama finished shooting 52 percent from the floor and 44 percent from beyond the arc, and scored 22 fast-break points to the Aggies' four.

It's the first regular-season win for Tide coach Nate Oats over the Aggies, who was previously 1-3 with an SEC Championship game last season as the only win.

Next up for the Aggies is the Arkansas Razorbacks back at Reed Arena on Tuesday.
