Aggies Down No. 6 Kentucky in OT
Led by an offensive barrage by Wade Taylor IV and Tyrece Radford, the Aggies blew past No. 6 Kentucky in overtime for a 97-92 win inside Reed Arena in College Station on Saturday.
Taylor IV poured in a game-high 31 while Radford added a season-high 28 to send the Wildcats home with their proverbial tail between their legs.
Taylor IV recovered from poor long-range shooting in his previous two games to make 6 of 13 from beyond the arc.
Radford hit two foul shots with just seven seconds left in regulation to give A&M a two-point edge and force a long 3-pointer by Rob Dillingham as time expired. Radford was called for a foul on the rebound to send Reed Sheppard to the line with less than a full second remaining in the game. He hit both shots to send the game to overtime.
In the overtime period, Taylor and Dillingham made seven 3-pointers combined going back and forth until the Aggies prevailed.
Antonio Reeves scored 22 for the Wildcats, while D.J. Wagner chipped in 18 and Dillingham finished with 15.
