Aggies Rout Rebels 86-60 to Close Out Regular Season with Three-Game Win Streak

The Texas A&M Aggies men's hoops team beat the Ole Miss Rebels 86-60 behind a career-high 25 points from sophomore guard Manny Obaseki at the Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi, on Saturday.

A&M (18-13, 9-9 SEC) jumped out to a 14-0 lead to begin the game and held a 42-29 lead at the half as Obaseki took over, making 9 of 14 field goals and 4 of 5 from beyond the arc to hit his career-best.

Guards Wade Taylor IV and Tyrece Radford, the Aggies' top-scoring duo chipped in 19 each while forward Solomon Washington was the only other A&M player in double digits with 10.

Andersson Garcia led the way with 13 rebounds while Washington and Radford grabbed 10 each to record double-doubles. Taylor had a team-high seven assists.

Guard Jaylen Murray led all Rebels (20-11, 7-11 SEC) with 21 points, while Matthew Murrell scored 11 and Jaemyn Brakefield had 10 as the Rebels' defense was surprised by the Aggies' shooting from 3-point range. 

A&M is the second-worst 3-point shooting team in the country but caught fire on Saturday shooting 50 percent making 13-of-26 from deep.

The Aggies continued their dominance on the offensive boards, 18-5 while excelling at the other end too against the Rebels for a total of 50-21.

A&M finishes the season on a three-game winning streak and will prep for the SEC Tournament which begins on March 13 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
