COLLEGE STATION - Former Texas A&M wide receiver Devante "Speedy" Noil was arrested Wednesday night.

According to Travis L. Brown of the Bryan-College Station Eagle, Noil was charged with assault, evading arrest and failure to pay bond on two previous charges. Noil, 25, was released after posting a $14,000 bail.

Per Brown's report, Noil was accused of striking a man who was helping serve an eviction notice to Noil on April 19. Noil struck the man in the side of the face with a closed fist, and the two wrestled after that hit.He then fled as officers arrived.

The following day, police were called to The Lofts at Wolf Pen Creek when Noil refused to turn down his music. According to the security team, he then pulled out a knife when asked a second time to turn it down. Noil would escape the scene by jumping a 10-foot fence, avoiding the police.

A warrant for Noil's arrest was placed on April 13 after the former wideout failed to make bond payments on criminal trespass and resisting arrest.

The troubled wide receiver played three seasons at A&m under the direction of Kevin Sumlin. Following a brief stint in the NFL and CFL, Noil would join the San Antonio Commanders of the now de-dunked Alliance of American Football. He would be waived before the start of the season.

In three seasons with A&M, Noil, caught 88 passes for 1,134 yards and 9 touchdowns.
