COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M hopes to close out the season with a victory against South Carolina. The Aggies (6-3, 3-3 SEC) Have won three straight, predominantly thanks to offensive production from junior quarterback Kellen Mond. 

The Gamecocks (4-6, 3-4 SEC) is hoping to keep their bowl season alive with a n upset win. Will Muschamp’s  swart has flash brilliance but suffered multiple losses by double-digit scores.  South Carolina could score consistently thanks to the help of senior wide receiver Bryan Edwards, who is expected to play.

FIRST QUARTER

UPDATE: South Carolina wide receiver Bryan Edwards is not expected to play. The senior wideout suffered a leg injury during the team loss to Appalachian State. 

Texas A&M wins the toss, they differ to second half. 

Two quick passes from Ryan Hilinski set the Gamecocks up at midfield. South Carolina would go miss the next three thanks to a key tackle from linebacker Anthony Hines . It’s Aggies ball.

Mond would connect twice with Jalen Wydermyer for first downs and a gain of 34 yards. A targeting call on T.J. Brunson would tack on 15 yards for the Aggies offense. In the red zone, Mond would be sacked on third down, leading to a 35-yard field goal from a Seth Small. A&M takes the early lead.

A 21-yard gain from Hilinski puts the Gamecocks in Aggies territory. It would be the only positive yards on the drive as South Carolina would go three-and-out. An Ainias Smith return would set A&M up in their own 47. 

Javon Kinlaw adds pressure and the Aggies go three-and-out. Gamecocks ball at their own 17 yard line. 

A 41-yard pass to Shi Smith sets the Gamecocks up in Aggie territory. Nearing the red zone, the Aggies defense made the hold. A Parker White 37-yard field goal ties up the game in Aggieland.

There’s little to report heading into the end of the first quarter. 

SECOND QUARTER 

Spiller found his rhythm with back to back 10-plus yard runs.  Cordarrian Richardson would be the hero of the drive, scoring on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Mond. The Aggies retake the league.

Hilinski would rush for three yards, but A&M would hold the Gamecocks to a three-and-out drive. 

Another strong drive for Wydermyer, who would cut upfield for a 31-yard gain and put A&M inside South Carolina territory. Mond, however, would throw five incompletions, leading to a 46-yard field goal try. Small would miss, leaving the score at 10-3. 

Hilinski made several strong passes, but three incompletions near midfield lead to the Gamecocks’ punting it away. 

A 24-yard run from Mond would set the Aggies up great on the drive. The junior would complete two passes to Quartney Davis for nine yards and putting the Aggies in South Carolina territory.  One and the offense stalled, leading to a 30-yard field goal from Small to give A&M a 13-3 lead heading into the half. The Aggies will begin the second half with the ball.

THIRD QUARTER 

A Wydermyer holding penalty cost the Aggies 10 yards before leading to a three-and-out. The Gamecocks will begin their drive at their own 36.
