'Saw It Coming!' Evan Stewart Drops Bombshell About Texas A&M Aggies NCAA Transfer Portal Situation
The Texas A&M Aggies have already been hit hard by losses to the NCAA Transfer Portal so far over the last few days.
Most notably, the loss of former five-star and No. 1 overall recruit Walter Nolen on Sunday night is looming large over Aggieland.
However, Aggies star receiver Evan Stewart, who missed the final stretch of the regular season and did not travel with the team to LSU, is not surprised by the losses.
In fact, in a reply to an Instagram post on Monday, Stewart not only said he saw those losses coming, but commented on the NIL situation as well, claiming that he 'didn't get paid a dollar' by the Aggies.
“I saw it coming freshman year when I didn’t get paid a dollar from A&M but ‘sliced bread’ had y’all thinking we was all millionaires," Stewart said in the post.
Stewart has long been rumored to potentially be one of the players on the move via the portal for the Aggies, and based on this social media post, he seems to be rather unhappy with his current circumstances.
Perhaps the most high-profile player on the entire Texas A&M roster, Stewart came to the Aggies as the No. 1 player in Texas, the No. 2 wide receiver in the nation, and the No. 8 overall player in the nation, per the On3 industry ranking.
He was also the headline player in the Aggies' historic 2022 recruiting class, which ranked No. 1 all-time by multiple recruiting services, and picked the Aggies over Texas, Alabama, and Georgia - a class that Texas A&M corner Bobby Taylor hinted could be falling apart via the portal.
He went on to have a tremendous freshman campaign, making 53 catches for 649 yards and two touchdowns.
