Texas A&M Aggies Offensive Lineman Layden Robinson Accepts Senior Bowl Invite
Texas A&M offensive lineman Layden Robinson will don the Maroon and White at least one more time in his college career.
Robinson officially accepted his invite to the 2023 Reese's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. on February 3, 2024. Robinson will spend a week practicing at Hancock Whitney Stadium and will have in-person meetings with NFL scouts and personnel members before the combine in Indianapolis the following month.
Robinson started 33 games over four seasons with the Aggies, primarily taking reps at right guard. Last season, he helped current Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane rushed for a career-best 1,102 en route to a 5-7 finish.
Two years prior, Robinson was a focal point on the offensive line that helped Isaiah Spiller post back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns. Robinson also served as a team captain in both 2021 and 2022.
He elected to return for his senior season rather than enter the NFL draft last offseason. A&M finished 7-5 amid the firing of Jimbo Fisher early last month.
Robinson is the first of four A&M players to accept their Senior Bowl invites following the end of the regular season. Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, receiver Ainias Smith, and defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson were invited to the event but have yet to announce their decisions.
A&M will close out the 2023 season at NRG Stadium in Houston for the TaxAct Texas Bowl against No. 20 Oklahoma State. It is unclear whether Robinson, Cooper, Jackson, or other seniors will participate in the bowl game.
