In this story:

All the buzz is on Mr. Bussey.

After Texas A&M’s first complete week of fall camp, one man continued to stand out, and it was Terry Bussey, the wide receiver.

Plenty of people have written him off and have been overlooking what he can really do with head coach Mike Elko’s program, but he has been highlighting the week with tremendous catches in drills.

It is all over social media, and he is definitely a weapon in this offense to not overlook, especially after he was coming off a lower body injury in the spring and a minor hamstring issue back in the 2025 season.

He is now fully healthy and competing to the best of his ability and has got his body right to make a difference out on the field. With his speed, excellent route running, and awareness, he is starting to stand out as another reason why this wide receiver room is so strong.

Turning Heads

After coming off a season where Bussey reeled in a total of 18 receptions for 195 yards with a touchdown, this might be the year where he elevates his game to the next level and proves even more why he is ready for greatness.

One of those moments of greatness has already come when he reeled in a one-handed catch at practice and quickly stamped himself as an Aggie to keep an eye out for. Just wait and see what it looks like once the regular season begins and he is in full stride and hauling in those passes in live action.

The stage is getting set for Week 1, and the way Bussey has displayed his physical abilities to make those crisp routes look easy with solid releases and contested catches, he is making a statement that he is another piece to this wide receiver room that is going to be difficult to compete with.

A&M already has a jammed wide receiver room where Bussey is alongside Mario Craver, Ashton Bethel-Roman, and Isaiah Horton, who all continue to grow, develop, and learn as each day goes on with new offensive coordinator Holmon Wiggins.

Bussey stepping up and rising to the occasion in only the first week of fall camp should attract plenty of attention for why he plays such an important role with this group. He might not be listed as the No. 1 or No. 2 wide receiver when fall camp comes to an end, but he has certainly built a case to be deserving of more playing time for the outstanding flashes he has had.

Gear up for Bussey to build off his early success as the season rolls along with his burst off the line of scrimmage, polished route running, and vision improving as the weeks ahead approach.
