Texas A&M Aggies A Top Contender For Instant-Impact Transfer Portal Offensive Tackle
The Texas A&M Aggies have already made some serious additions to their roster via the NCAA Transfer Portal, landing multiple difference makers early in the process.
Now, it appears they are in contention to land another one.
According to reports from On3's Hayes Fawcett, Nevada offensive tackle transfer Isaiah World has narrowed his decision down to three schools, with Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Oregon standing out for the 6-foot-8, 320-pounder.
World is coming off of a visit to College Station this week, and has also made his way to Lincoln to visit the Cornhuskers. He is also planning to make a visit to Oregon, with a decision expected to come soon after that.
“I’m looking for somewhere I can develop myself and can go do big things," World told On3 when the portal opened. "I did my time (at Nevada). We didn’t have the best seasons but I’m looking forward to what’s out there and what’s new.”
As it stands, World ranks as the No. 20 overall player in the portal and the No. 1 offensive tackle, per the 247Sports Transfer Portal Rankings.
In his three-year career at Nevada, World has played in 36 games, starting 35, and gave up just 13 sacks on 1,272 pass-blocking snaps. He also had a pass-blocking grade of 82.2, per Pro Football Focus, and did not give up a single sack this season.
Should the Aggies be able to land World, he would come in at a major position of need, and could immediately slide in opposite of Trey Zuhn III and solidify up the right tackle position.
He will have one year of eligibility remaining at his next school.
