COLLEGE STATION, Texas - As the 2019 College Football season begins, the betting odds are starting to fill up. Several teams could be viewed as sleepers while others are heavy favorites to return to the College Football Playoff.

According to BetOnline, Texas A&M has the sixth-best odds to win the SEC at 25/1. They fall just behind Auburn (20/1), Florida (12/1), LSU (10/1), Georgia (2.75/1) and Alabama (-140).

The Aggies could be considered a sleeper following their 9-4 season under the direction of Jimbo Fisher. With key losses on both sides of the ball, it will be interesting to see how the team rebounds heading into the season.

Strength of schedule also could play or hurt A&M's chances to make a trip down to Atlanta in December. With homes games against Auburn, Mississippi State and the Crimson Tide, the Aggies could find themselves sitting at 3-0 thanks to the atmosphere at Kyle Field.

With road trips to Athens, Clemson and Baton Rouge, A&M could suffer three losses that would set the team back and out of contention in the SEC West. Alabama will likely be the favorites as they host LSU and Auburn this season at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The Aggies will begin their season at home against Texas State on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7;30 p.m.
