COLLEGE STATION - With the start of Southeastern Conference play for Texas A&M quickly arriving, the team can make an early statement. Despite losing to No.1 Clemson, the Aggies still control their destiny to claim victory in the competitive SEC West.

With No.8 Auburn coming to Kyle Field, the No.17 Aggies are hoping the home crowd can play into their favor. Las Vegas would seem to agree with that statement knowing the atmosphere in College Station on gameday.

According to first Vegas lines at Golden Gate Casino, the Aggies open as a three-point favorite over the Tigers at home. Betting also predicts the game will be low scoring, with the Over/Under line set a 49.

Both A&M and Auburn will enter the weekend coming off wins. The Tigers, led by freshman quarterback Bo Nix, took down Kent State 55-16 and now sit at 3-0. The Aggies, led by a 317-yard performance from Kellen Mond, claimed victory over Lamar, 62-3.

Isaiah Spiller shined for the A&M's run game, collecting 116 yards and scoring two touchdowns. With Quartney Davis listed as inactive, freshman wide receiver Ainias Smith made six catches for 66 yards and a touchdown in his place.

Auburn has predominantly relied on their run game to push their way to victory. Four running backs have already rushed for over 100 yards through three games, two with multiple touchdowns. Jatarvious Whitlow currently leads the way with 341 yards on 64 carries.

Last season, Auburn completed the comeback in the fourth quarter, propelling them to a 28-24 victory at Jordan-Hare Stadium. It was the first time since A&M's arrival to the SEC that the home team has claimed the win.

A&M will kickoff at Kyle Field at 2:30 P.M. this Saturday on CBS. The game will be part of an SEC doubleheader with No.3 Georgia and No.7 Notre Dame to follow that evening.
