Texas A&M to Face Georgia as SEC Game of the Week
COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M will close their season out with a chance to upset a pair of schools. Their first stop will be to Athens, Georgia to face the No.6 Bulldogs before taking on likely No.1 LSU to finish the 2019 season.
While many could expect for the Tigers to be a must-see game, CBS has determined that Georgia vs. the Aggies is. The broadcasting company announced Monday morning that the Aggies will kickoff at Samford Stadium as the SEC Game of the Week.
The Aggies (6-3) will have a chance to enter the Peach State with a four-game winning streak. The team will face South Carolina to close out their home games this coming Saturday. History seems to be on A&M's side there as the team has won five straight contents against the Gamecocks.
The Bulldogs (8-1) has seen their fair share of success this season in the SEC East. The offense has relied on their run game to lead the charge while Jake Fromm continues to impress overall as the game-managing quarterback. The team's only came in the form of a double-overtime defeat to South Carolina.
History could be in favor of the visiting team as A&M holds a 3-2 all-time record against Georgia. The team's last meeting came in 2009, when the Bulldogs picked up a 44-20 victory in the Independence Bowl. Since 1980, Georgia holds a 2-0 lead over A&M.
Kickoff will be set at 2:30 at Samford Stadium in Athens, Georgia. Should A&M defeat South Carolina, this could be another top 25 matchup found on SEC Saturdays.
