Texas A&M to face UMass in 2022

The Minutemen will make a trip down to College Station in the near future

COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M is always trying to add new faces to their out of conference schedule. In 2022, a team from New England will venture down to Kyle Field. 

The University of Massachusetts announced Wednesday evening that they will face the Aggies in College Station of November 19, 2022. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools since UMass's arrival to the FBS level. 

The 2022 schedule should nearly be set with the addition of the Minutemen when deciding nonconference outings. One slot could remain to give A&M seven home games that year. Others include Appalachian State on September 10 and a home-and-home schedule against Miami (FL) on September 17. 

The Aggies will face Florida, LSU and Ole Miss at home for SEC play. The team will travel to Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State and South Carolina during the same year. A&M will also face Arkansas in Arlington for the annual Southwest Classic on September 24 in AT&T Stadium.
