Aggies LB Edgerrin Cooper Draws Interest From NFL Teams at Scouting Combine
The NFL Scouting Combine is underway this week and Texas A&M Aggies linebacker Edgerrin Cooper is drawing interest from at least three NFL teams thus far. Cooper has reportedly met with representatives from the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.
Cooper, who checks in at 6-2, 220-pounds, was a first-team All-American last season in College Station and was present at the East-West Shrine Bowl in Frisco, Texas, held at The Star's Ford Center, in the backyard of the Cowboys' headquarters and practice facility.
Cooper was unable to practice and play in the game due to injury but has put up enough tape over the last few seasons to impress scouts.
Cooper registered 83 tackles with 17 for loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries last season with the Aggies.
The Covington (LA) High School product is considered to be one of the premier linebackers available in the 2024 NFL Draft in April, along with Alabama's Dallas Tuner and Chris Braswell.
