Texas A&M Aggies LB Von Miller Returns To Practice With Buffalo Bills
One of the best linebackers in Aggies history quickly became one of the more dominant in the NFL. Von Miller, who wore maroon and white from 2007 through 2010 and appeared in 45 games for the Aggies was welcomed back to practice with his current team, the Buffalo Bills.
Miller hasn't appeared in any game since tearing his ACL on Thanksgiving Day last year. He won't be on the field this week as the Bills take on the Jaguars, but he did take the practice field on Wednesday as the team prepares for its Week 5 matchup.
"I don't know if the fans can expect to see me yet, but if I was a betting man I would say yeah, you can expect to see Von Miller in London," Miller said in Tuesday's edition of The Von Cast.
Miller ended 2022 - his first with the Bills - on injured reserve, and began this season on the physically unable to perform list. Bills coach Sean McDermott said on Monday that he expected Miller back at practice this week.
When a player on the PUP list resumes practicing, the team has three weeks to activate him to the 53-man roster. NFL Network reported that the Bills will take Miller's return on a day-by-day basis.
"It's still not a promise that I play in this game," Miller said. "I want to play in this game. I gotta practice tomorrow and I only get one padded practice. So obviously I got out there and I [need to] look amazing with this padded practice. Cause the difference is, like in training camp, you get multiple padded practices to kinda like figure your game out.Â
"I just get one padded practice tomorrow and then we have a shells practice on Thursday and then we fly to London on Thursday night. I really don't have all the time in the world to like figure it out. I get one padded practice. So hopefully I look amazing tomorrow. I feel really strongly that I will. That's just how I think I feel like I will be amazing tomorrow and everybody will give me the green light to go play in the game."
Miller recorded 181 total tackles while at A&M, with 104 solo, and 50.5 for loss. he also registered 33 sacks and one interception while forcing seven fumbles. He was selected No. 2 overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.
