Mike Elko, Aggies Football Add Joseph Headen as Scouting Assistant
New A&M football coach Mike Elko keeps adding staffers in anticipation of the 2024 season.
On Wednesday, Headen announced he would be joining the Aggies as the defensive backs scouting assistant.
“Excited to join the Aggie football staff as the DB Scouting Assistant,” Headen stated on X. “Ready to get to work!”
"Joe Joe" Headen as he's known, played four years of college football at Old Dominion from 2016 to 2021 and got into coaching at Virginia Tech.
He served in Blacksburg as assistant director of player engagement and will serve in College Station alongside defensive backs coach Ishmael Aristide and Jordan Peterson.

Headen joins recent additions on the offensive side of the ball in Josh Buford, Christian Ellsworth and Justin Joyce and Peterson on the defensive side of the ball.
