Texas A&M Aggies defensive back Sam McCall has officially entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.

McCall has two years of eligibility remaining at his new home. Back in February, AllAggies.com reported McCall was planning on entering the portal. As of April 15, the junior from Lakeland, Florida, has 15 days to find a new program to take him.

McCall joined the Aggies from Florida State last offseason and played in 12 games, registering six total tackles and one pass defended. While at with the Seminoles in 2022, he tallied five total tackles and one pass defended across eight games.

Among the veterans returning to play under new coach Mike Elko, McCall seemed to be the odd man out. Already on limited reps, he was brought in by Jimbo Fisher for a defensive formation designed by now-Auburn defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin.

The Aggies also added Will Lee III (Kansas State), Donovan Saunders (Cal Poly), BJ Mayes (UAB) and former five-start Dezz Ricks (Alabama) via the portal this offseason. A&M also returns two-year starter Tyreek Chappell and sophomores Jayvon Thomas and Bravion Rogers, who each started two games in 2023.

The Aggies will take the field for the annual Maroon and White Game on April 20 at Kyle Field.
