OFFICIAL: Aggies Will Sign 2024 Four-Star DL Dealyn Evans
Four-star defensive end Dealyn Evans is officially set to be a Texas A&M Aggies, announcing his decision live on his Instagram account on Friday.
The Aggies survived a late push from the Longhorns to land their third defensive lineman of the class thus far.
The 6-4, 260-pound defensive lineman is from Pine Tree High School in Longview, TX, and received offers from Texas, SMU, Washington, TCU and others in addition to the Aggies.
Evans is the No. 72 national recruit for the class of 2024, the No. 9 DL recruit for the 2024 class, and the No. 13 recruit from the state of Texas. Coaches Elijah Robinson and T.J. Rushing were integral in his recruitment and bringing him to College Station.
In 2022 for Pine Tree, Evans finished with 35 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack and two pass breakups.
Evans is one of the top defensive line prospects in the state of Texas and quite possibly the country and will be joining an elite group of defensive linemen that signed in the 2022 class.

With his status with the Aggies now confirmed, Evans joins a class that already has an impressive defensive line haul with Solomon Williams and Kendall Jackson, who signed on Wednesday.
The Aggies currently sit with the No. 12 ranked class nationally, and seventh ranked class in the SEC, per On3's team rankings.
Now, the Aggies wait on the decision of five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley, who will likely not make his final choice until February.
