Aggies 2024 Recruiting Class Breaks Top 10 In Average Rating Per Commit
Texas A&M's football program under coach Jimbo Fisher has had its share of ups and downs over the past few seasons. On the field, it's been a roller coaster ride with head-scratching losses to lesser opponents while also beating No. 1 ranked teams.
But off the field, and specifically on the recruiting trail, the Aggies have dominated. Fisher and Co. put together what many consider the best-ever recruiting class in 2022. The 2023 class fell to No. 15 recently, its worst ranking since 2018.
But for the class of 2024, A&M is back in business. With the latest commitment from four-star wideout Drelon Miller, the Aggies are back in the top 10 with the 10th highest average per rating per commit. A&M's average of 89.93 includes six four-star and seven three-star commits per On3's rankings score.
That's good enough for fifth-best in the SEC with only Alabama (92.52), Georgia (91.53), Florida (91.01), and Auburn (90.07) having higher averages.
A&M has moved up the rankings rapidly with six commits over the course of eight days, with more expected soon.
Fisher and the Aggies still have much work to do to stay on top in terms of recruiting, with four SEC schools ahead of them. But it's a good start for 2024 as Fisher continues to attempt to build a winning program in College Station.
