Texas A&M's football program under coach Jimbo Fisher has had its share of ups and downs over the past few seasons. On the field, it's been a roller coaster ride with head-scratching losses to lesser opponents while also beating No. 1 ranked teams.

But off the field, and specifically on the recruiting trail, the Aggies have dominated. Fisher and Co. put together what many consider the best-ever recruiting class in 2022. The 2023 class fell to No. 15 recently, its worst ranking since 2018.

And now, the Aggies are on the move again for the 2024 cycle. After previously being unranked, the Aggies 2024 recruiting class has rocketed all the way up to the No. 16 spot in ESPN’s updated rankings. That means A&M is now ahead of SEC rivals Ole Miss (No. 17) and Mississippi State (No. 21) in the top-25 rankings.

A&M has moved up the rankings rapidly with six commits over the course of eight days, with more expected soon.

Fisher and the Aggies still have much work to do to stay on top in terms of recruiting, with four SEC schools ahead of them. But it's a good start for 2024 as Fisher continues to attempt to build a winning program in College Station.
