Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett Remembers Aggies Coach Tery Price
The Texas A&M Aggies family has suffered a major loss, with longtime assistant coach and former player Terry Price passing away on Friday. He was 55 years old.
Price, who was serving as the Aggies' defensive ends coach at the time of his death, spent a total of 12 seasons as an assistant with the Aggies, including the last 11, after joining the staff in 2012.
On Saturday, former Aggies defensive end and current Cleveland Browns defensive standout Myles Garrett took to Twitter to remember his former coach and speak publicly about their relationship.
“I truly cannot express the impact this man made in my life. Not only as an athlete but more importantly as a man, brother, and son. From his commitment to God to grilling and mentorship, he embodied everything a great man should be. My family and I will always miss his presence,” Garrett tweeted.
Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher released a statement on Price's passing on Friday.
"Terry was not only a great Aggie, football coach and recruiter, he was an even better husband, father and man," Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher said in a statement. "The impact he had on this program and his players is immeasurable. Our football family has suffered an incredible loss. We will continue to hold Kenya and the boys in our thoughts and prayers."
In 34 games for the Aggies over three seasons from 2014 through 2016, Garrett amassed 141 total tackles including 47 for loss, 31 sacks, seven forced fumbles, and one interception.
