The Texas A&M Aggies need some momentum heading into their first season under Mike Elko, and after and up-and-down and down finish to the Early Signing Period there is one surefire way to do that - win the Texas Bowl vs. Oklahoma State.

That will be easier said than done, with the Cowboys having one of the best offenses in college football. That is especially true on the ground, where Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon is second in the nation in rushing yards (1,614) and touchdowns (20).

That said, the Aggies will have more than a fighting chance with their explosive receiver group. Yes, that group lost its two top players, but there is still plenty of talent to be found with Moose Muhammad, Jahdae Walker and Max Wright.

So will the Aggies be able to come away with their first Bowl win since 2020 on Wednesday? All Aggies.com's staff give their predictions below:

I think the Aggies are tired of the talk surrounding the state of their program. Yes they have struggled this season and yes they are in transition. But they are more than capable of handling their business against the Cowboys - even without Evan Stewart, Ainias Smith, Edgerrin Cooper, Walter Nolen, etc.

Will it be easy? No. But Jaylen Henderson is dynamic and the receiver group that remains is talented. And I think they should take advantage vs. a bad Cowboys pass defense.

The Aggies win in a shootout, giving the program some momentum heading into the Mike Elko era.

While this won't be a replay of 2019, it does have a similar flare. The Pokes feature the reigning Doak Walker Award winner, while the Aggies possess a mobile quarterback who isn't afraid to take it and turn upfield.

This should be a back-and-forth matchup early, but which team pulls away late? Something about Ollie Gordon's ability to turn it on in the fourth quarter makes it hard to bet against Oklahoma State. Despite a rocky season, the Cowboys secure a 10-win season with a late TD from the "other" Agent Zero.

The Aggies own the all-time series lead 18-10 but A&M is kind of a mess right now. It’s been hit hard by players hitting the transfer portal and declaring for the NFL Draft and this is just a shell of the 7-5 team we saw end the regular season. This one could get ugly early for the Aggies.
