COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M will have a chance to finish anywhere between 6-6 and 9-3 to close out the 2019 campaign. The Aggies will face South Carolina before traveling to Georgia and currently top-ranked LSU.

The way the outings go will likely decide A&M's fate when it comes to bowl season. The Aggies clinched their 11th straight bowl trip following their 45-14 victory over UTSA on November 2. Still, while the College Football Playoff talk is long gone, a New Year's Six Bowl could be in play.

Depending on how many wins the Aggies pick up, that could help narrow down there they play. Should the dominoes fall in their favor, a trip to the Sugar Bowl or even Orange Bowl could be in the works. That would, however, mean that A&M wins out, Alabama or LSU loses at least one other game and Georgia is heading to the postseason.

More than likely, A&M should have their eyes set for a New Year's Day game. The team could go 8-4 and still face a compelling opponent in a game that fans will enjoy beginning the new year.

The Citrus Bowl, Outback Bowl and Gator Bowl will all be played on New Year's Day. A majority of spectators believe that is where A&M will likely be playing come bowl season. Against whom could become an exciting battle to watch with the emergence of several schools over the past weekend.

Minnesota impressed with a victory over No.4 Penn State, Wisconsin has been inconsistent and Michigan likely will not be in the running to represent the Big 10. Should A&M find themselves in one of these three bowls, the Nittany Lions, Badgers and Wolverines could all become an option.

Here's how other media outlets have A&M ranked among other schools nearing bowl season.
