Offensive Tackle Robert Bourdon Commits to Texas A&M After Official Visit

2024 Offensive tackle Robert Bourdon is now a Texas A&M Aggie, announcing his commit on social media.

Texas A&M has secured another significant addition to their 2024 high school recruiting class with the 6-foot-6, 295-pound offensive lineman Robert Bourdon from Collierville, Tennessee. This move marks a potentially final addition to the class.

Despite Bourdon's commitment to Duke since June 2023, Bourdon opted not to sign in the early window, specifically after Mike Elko moved to College Station as the Aggies head coach.

A&M acted swiftly upon the staff's arrival in Aggieland, extending an offer to Bourdon. The prospect, in turn, promptly scheduled an official visit once the dead period lifted in January.

Bourdon now stands as the 16th high school commit in the Aggies' current cycle, complementing the 23 new players acquired from the transfer portal. Joining forces with Ashton Funk, Isendre Ahfua, and Blake Ivy up front, he adds depth to Adam Cushing's offensive line.

Cushing has had his sights set on the Tennessee native for a while. Back when the staff was based in Durham, the Blue Devils were quick to offer Bourdon, successfully hosting him on multiple campus visits leading up to his commitment.

In College Station, Bourdon's substantial size has ignited excitement among coaches, anticipating the promising development he could achieve as he makes the transition to college.

Beyond his obvious physical attributes as a promising tackle prospect, Bourdon brings a unique twist to the table. Standing out with an all-region background in lacrosse, his agility around the line of scrimmage is notable. Additionally, he effectively utilizes his massive wingspan to leverage defenders, making him an intriguing prospect for Texas A&M.

In the 2024 class, Bourdon is positioned as the 557th prospect nationally and holds the No. 44 spot among offensive tackles, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

With a total of 27 offers, he has garnered interest from esteemed programs nationwide, including Florida State, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, NC State, Ole Miss, and others, in addition to Duke and Texas A&M.
