'Great Weekend!' 2025 4-Star DL Landon Rink Recaps Aggies Visit

Still a year away from his expected college commitment, Texas A&M 2025 prospect Landon Rink spent a weekend with the Aggies, which yielded positive results for defensive line coach Elijah Robinson.

Trying to recruit a player who's 247Sports profile picture has him in a Texas Longhorns shirt won't be an easy task for coach Elijah Robinson and the Texas A&M Aggies

Landon Rink, a class of 2025 four-star defensive lineman, recently took a trip to College Station to continue his college recruitment process, spending time with Robinson and company throughout this past weekend.

Rink is currently considering six major schools — per 247 — including the Aggies, but also featuring the Longhorns, Sooners, Fighting Irish and Baylor. Luckily for the Maroon & White, the rising high-school junior seemed to enjoy his time in Aggieland.

"I had a great weekend," Rink told TexAgs on Sunday. "Today we had breakfast together and [Robinson] went through a presentation ... about all of the [defensive line] techniques he teaches at A&M."

Seeing the techniques is step one for Rink, however. Step two would be for him to picture himself as an Aggie ... and he's done that, too.

"I liked it a lot, Rink said. "I can see myself playing in [Texas A&M's] type of defense, in that scheme, so it was good. He said I would play everything on defensive line."

Rink would be used in a role similar to rising junior Shemar Turner, as both players able to use their size be be versatile in multiple positions. Having that size doesn't just bode well for Rink on the field, however, as it also sets him up to be heavily recruited with opportunities to become a leader right away.

That just means the Aggies have some work to do in order to land the four-star prospect, especially if Texas is in the mix as well. They'll have until next season to land him, though, as Rink intends to be fully committed "by this time next summer."

Now the ball rests in the hands of Robinson, Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies.

"I'm definitely going to be at the A&M-Alabama game," Rink said. "And probably a couple of others, too."
