Texas A&M Baseball Manager Hit By Foul Ball Against Longhorns
MAR 5 MANAGER MADNESS Shock filled the stands at UFCU Disch-Falk Field amid the Texas A&M Aggies matchup against the Texas Longhorns Tuesday night as a foul ball struck a manager in the A&M dugout.
During the bottom of the eighth inning, Longhorns first baseman Casey Borba zipped a foul ball off left-hander Shane Sdao into the A&M clubhouse. The broadcast flashed into to see an A&M staff member immediately waving for medical assistance from the training staff.
The manager, who has yet to be identified, was able to walk back to the clubhouse with an extremely bloody face alongside the help of trainers. The Aggies would secure the 9-2 victory a frame later and advance to 12-0.
"He shattered that nose pretty good," A&M coach Jim Schlossnagle said postgame. "He's doing ok now. He was standing in the back of the duggout. It's a dangerous place because you can't see. The ball went by me and he was standing behind me, and it just hit him between the eyes. I think he's going to be ok. He's going to have a busted up nose for a while. We'll be praying for him."

What he knew he could impress with, however, was his strength - And that is exactly what he did, blowing away the competition with 21 bench reps - the most of any receiver at the event.

Suffice it to say, with the Aggies entering the season ranked No. 8 in the country, there is a lot of hype surrounding Jim Schlossnagle's program.

JAN 16 AGGIES BASEBALL FRESHMAN CLASS NO. 4 The Aggies' baseball freshman class has been ranked No. 4 by D1Baseball.
The class boasts a loaded roster. The class has four Perfect Game Top 75 Freshmen, including Caden Sorell at No. 28, Gavin Grahovac at No. 40, Weston Moss at No. 70, and Kaiden Wilson at No. 75.
Last season, lefty outfielder Jace LaViolette was one of the best freshmen in the nation. This year, Grahovac could fill that role. With the ability to play outfield or infield, A&M will place him at third base this season, testing his defensive prowess.
The Aggies begin the season with a three-game set against McNeese at Blue Bell Park on Feb. 16 at 6 p.m.
JAN 12 AGGIES BASEBALL MAKES TOP 10 The Texas A&M Aggies baseball team has been tagged at No. 7 in the PG College Baseball 2024 preseason top 25.
It's an SEC top-heavy list, with four teams in the top 10 and another three appearing after No. 10.
Arkansas, LSU and Florida appear at Nos. 2-4, then the Aggies at No. 7. Tennessee is at No. 11, followed by South Carolina at No. 13 and Auburn at No. 15.

DEC 17 AGGIES WOMEN'S BASKETBALL The Aggies women's basketball team (9-1) hopes to press its winning streak to eight with a win over the Devilettes on Monday at 7 p.m. CT at Reed Arena.
It's the first-ever meeting between the two programs as Mississippi Valley State (1-9) enters the game in the middle of one of the toughest schedules in the country, having already played three of the current top 15 teams in the AP Top 25.
Texas A&M has won seven straight and is outscoring its opponents by an average of 29.8 points per game during that run. The Aggies own one of the county's top defenses at No. 4 in field goal percentage allowed at 32.2 percent, and No. 5 in scoring allowing 49.1 points per contest.
DEC 13 AGGIES BASEBALL The Texas A&M Aggies baseball team announced its 2024 non-conference schedule, and it kicks off with a three-game home series beginning Feb. 16 against McNeese. A&M can make it five consecutive victories with a win over the Jayhawks, and it could be another lopsided victory for the Aggies. During its current four-game streak Texas A&M has enjoyed an average margin of victory of 34 points.
Former Aggies coach Gary Blair will be honored at halftime for his enshrinement into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Blair won a record 444 games at A&M and won the 2011 National Championship. His 853 total wins rank no. 14 all-time, and the court inside Reed Arena is named in his honor.
DEC 1 AGGIES MEN'S HOOPS The Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball team was ranked No. 14 nationally entering the ACC/SEC Challenge Clash. Expect that ranking to nosedive. Coach Buzz Williams and his crew dropped a 59-47 tilt to the Virginia Cavaliers on Wednesday at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The Aggies trailed by just one at the break with a 27-27 deficit, but the low-scoring game got away from A&M late as the Cavaliers started the second half on a 7-0 scoring run to separate themselves. The Aggies got no closer than five points midway through the final frame.

Over 70 percent of the offensive production returns to the roster, along with a slew of elite off-season transfers. Those include Aicha Coulibaly and Endyia Rogers, both of whom have multiple all-conference selections.
Tip-off is at 6 p.m. CT and the game will be streamed on SECN+ with Will Johnson and Tap Bentz on the call. The radio call will be broadcast on The Zone (1150 AM/93.7 FM) locally.
NOV 4 AGGIES VOLLEYBALL The Aggies volleyball team broke a three-match losing streak with a sweep of Alabama Friday at Reed Arena 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-18).
A&M (15-7, 7-5 SEC) jumped out to a quick five-point lead early in the first set, helped along by Bianna Muoneke's three kills. The Aggies extended that lead through the nation's leader in blocks, Ifenna Cos-Okpalla, who registered four stuffs that forced Alabama to call a timeout at 18-11. A&M eventually won the first set 25-20.
The second followed the same storyline with the Aggies jumping out to a quick 10-5 lead and closed out the set at 25-15.
The third set was closer between the two teams, and A&M led at the media timeout, 15-14. Alabama scored two points quickly after the stoppage of play, but the Aggies were persistent in claiming the third set at 25-18, and the match at 3-0.

OCT 31 AGGIES WOMENS GOLF The Texas A&M Aggies women's golf team continues its season with play in Atlanta this week. On Monday, the Aggies finished fourth in the stroke-play round of the East Lake Cup. The team now matches up against last year's NCAA champion, Stanford, in the semifinals on Tuesday.
"We have to go win two matches if we want to take home the championship," head coach Gerrod Chadwell said. "This is a great opportunity for us because it will prepare us for what it's like at nationals. We had two bad holes today that if you take those away, would have put us right in the mix. The conditions tomorrow won't be easy, so the toughest team is going to win. I am excited to see how we respond."
Jennie Park shot a 1-under 71 and tied for second at the Atlanta Athletic Club. Stanford's Sadie Englemann had the low score of 3-under 69 to finish first.
Defending stroke-play champion Blanca Fernandez Garcia-Poggio tied for 11th with a 3-over 75, while Zoe Slaughter shot a 5-over 77, finishing 17th. Lana Calibuso-Kwee tied for 18th with a 6-over 78, while Mia Nixon finished with a share of 19th place after shooting a 7-over 79.
