Aggies' Kyle Field to Host Mexico vs. Brazil Soccer Game
There have been some big sporting events at Kyle Field, but maybe none bigger than the one that may happen this summer.
Two legendary national soccer teams are reportedly scheduled to meet in a friendly match in College Station this summer, as Kyle Field continues to grow in popularity for summer events.
According to a report from USA Today, Mexico and Brazil are reportedly set to take to the grass on June 8.
Kyle Field's location makes it a prime destination for large events as it's just three hours from San Antonio, 2.5 hours from DFW and just an hour and a half from Houston. The Aggies' home stadium also happens to be the largest stadium in the state of Texas and the fourth-largest in the United States.

With national soccer matches being such an attraction, there's a good chance that the event could set the attendance record at Kyle Field. After a $485 million upgrade from 2014-2015, the listed capacity is 102,733. But on Oct. 11, 2014, the Aggies set a record of 110,633 in a football game against the Ole Miss Rebels.
Kyle Field is also rumored to be in discussion to host country music legend George Strait at some point this summer and is expected to draw close to a sellout.
