Aggies vs. Auburn Tigers: How to Watch, Betting Odds
The Texas A&M Aggies will host the Auburn Tigers at Kyle Field on Saturday in the first SEC matchup for both teams of the young 2023 season.
Auburn hopes to improve to 4-0 for the first time since 2019, while the Aggies hope to avoid a 2-2 start to their season, and a 0-1 record in league play.
It'll be a fun matchup to watch between Aggies sophomore quarterback Conner Weigman and the Tigers' pass defense. The A&M signal-caller is 10th in the nation with 303 yards passing per contest. He threw for 337 yards and a score in less than three quarters last Saturday against ULM for his third 300-yard passing effort.
Weigman will face a stout Auburn pass defense that ranks 12th in the country allowing a diminutive 155 yards passing per game. However, the Tigers defense is dealing with injuries.
Corner Nehemiah Pritchett has yet to see the field this year, and fellow corner Keionte Scott had surgery on Monday and will miss "considerable time" per coach Hugh Freeze.
Auburn has won four of the last five meetings at Kyle Field, and seven of its last eight games played in the state of Texas.
