Texas A&M Aggies Fall Short vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

Once again, Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies went down to the wire vs. Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide
In this story:

Jimbo Fisher and the Texas A&M Aggies may have figured out the formula to beating the Alabama Crimson Tide and Nick Saban.

But on Saturday, they weren't quite able to finish the job, falling to Alabama 26-20 in front of a devastated sold-out crowd at Kyle Field.

Things start off great for the Aggies, taking a 17-10 lead into halftime over the No. 11 tide.

However, in the second half, the Tide took control, with Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe leading his team back against a very stout Aggies defense, and sealing the win.

Milroe finished the game completing 21 of 33 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns, with one interception, including the game-winning 19-yard touchdown to Jermaine Burton with just under six minutes to go in the game.

Meanwhile, the Aggies matched Alabama in nearly every statistical category offensively, with both teams finishing with 16 first downs, and 4 of 12 on third downs. The Tide also had 344 yards of offense to the Aggies 302, while the teams also finished with nearly the same time of possession.

Unfortunately for the Aggies, the offense could just not find the space to get anything going in the second half, with the Tide holding them to just three points - which came on a field goal on the final Texas A&M drive of the game.

With the loss, the Aggies now drop to 4-2 on the season, while the Tide move to 5-1, taking control of the No. 1 spot in the SEC West standings.

Up next the Aggies will head to Knoxville to take on the Tennessee Volunteers, with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m.
