Aggies Golfer Jennie Park Earns Golfweek All-America Honors
Texas A&M Aggies women's golf standout Jennie Park led the squad with a 72.03 stroke average this past season - good enough for fifth best in program history. Along the way, she also scored nine top-15 finishes and five top-10.
That earned her a spot on the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Second Team as announced earlier this month.
And now, Park follows that by being recognized with a spot on the Golfweek All-America Second Team, the publication announced today.
Park, who hails from Carrollton, Texas, helped the Aggies to their first SEC title since 2015. She came in ninth in stroke play and went 2-1 during match play, including a 6&5 win during her championship match.
It was Park's second WGCA All-America honor, as she was awarded with WGCA All-America Honorable Mention accolades last year. Park also earned All-SEC Second Team honors this year and led A&M to its second-consecutive NCAA Semifinal appearance.
Park also received an invitation to play at the Augusta National Women's Amateur back in March as one of 72 of the world's best amateurs to participate in the event, where she finished in the top 10.
