On Wednesday, four-star offensive lineman Blake Ivy officially signed his national letter of intent with the Texas A&M Aggies.

Ivy, a top-100 player according to the On3 industry ranking, is the No. 127 overall recruit and No. 5 offensive lineman in the country. He is also the No. 23 player in the state of Texas.

He is also one of three interior offensive linemen in the class of 2024 for the Aggies, joining four-stars Ashton Funk and Isendre Ahfua.

Out of all the bunch, Ivy might be the standout as of now. As a matter of fact, Ivy's head coach from Clear Springs High School, Anthony Renfro, told 247Sports he may have potential beyond the collegiate level.

“I think he’s got a really good shot to play on Sunday someday,” Renfro said. “I know he’s probably going to play inside early. Maybe eventually, he’ll find his way outside. But even if not, he’s going to be good.”

Renfro apparently knows something about developing future Aggies, as he also coached wideout Noah Thomas and defensive lineman Albert Regis at Clear Springs.

As far as what the Aggies are getting in 2024 with the raw talent of Ivy? “They’re getting a tremendous athlete,” Renfro stated. “I think Blake’s going just continue to get better, you know, once he gets there, and he’s going against that level of competition every day.

"He’s an extremely hard worker. He’s going to do everything they ask him to do. He’s got a great support system in his family; they’re a really good family. I’ve known them for a long time. Overall they’re just getting a great kid. And that’s the best part about it.”
