Opening Weekend of the college baseball season is behind us. Torrential rainfall that canceled several games in Florida and the Southeast may have been the most drama on the fields last weekend.

In this week's polls, Wake Forest remains the top choice across all the polls after the Demon Deacons went 3-0 over the weekend. Florida saw two games canceled due to weather after they lost their first game to St. John's. This did move the Gators down.

The TCU Horned Frogs went 3-0 on the weekend. But their series against Florida Gulf Coast was definitely not an easy path to get to 3-0. The Frogs had to come from behind in each game, including late-inning antics on both Friday and Saturday. However, the result did move TCU up to the No. 3 spot in at least one poll - the NCBWA poll. 

Depending on which poll you are reading, the Big 12 has either three or four ranked teams this week.

  • TCU - No. 3 (NCBWA), No. 5 (D1 Baseball and Perfect Game), No. 6 (Baseball America)
  • Texas - No. 9 (Perfect Game), No. 14 (Baseball America), No. 15 (NCBWA), No. 16 (D1 Baseball)
  • Texas Tech - No. 17 (Baseball America), No. 19 (D1 Baseball), No. 20 (NCBWA)
  • Kansas State - No. 21 (Perfect Game), No. 24 (D1 Baseball)
