College Baseball Poll Watching Week 2: TCU Drops After FSU Series

Pick a poll. The Horned Frogs rankings this week are as low as No. 10 and as high as No. 20

The second weekend of college baseball did not disappoint, with the excitement, unless you are a Horned Frogs fan. Going 1-2 in the series over Florida State hurt, especially after the dominating performance by TCU on opening weekend. 

TCU went 2-2 on the week, with the win over UTA on Wednesday. Sure, the Frogs were going to fall in this week's polls. But the polls this week have the Frogs all over the board. In the D1Baseball poll, TCU is now No. 10, after being No. 8 last week. In the Collegiate Baseball poll, TCU dropped from No. 12 to No. 20. 

The weekend results were enough to move the Frogs up into the Top Ten in this week's poll from D1Baseball. The Frogs debuted at No. 15 in the poll and are now at No. 8. In the Collegiate Baseball weekly poll, TCU moved up three spots to now be No. 12. Baseball America only dropped the Frogs one spot, down to No. 11. And in the USA Today Coaches Poll, TCU did not budge, staying right at the No. 17 spot they were at last week. 

Florida State, who entered the weekend series at  TCU undefeated, is now amongst the ranked teams. Oklahoma State and Texas Tech are the other Big 12 schools that are ranked in the polls. Teams from the SEC dominate the Top Ten across the polls, and LSU is the clear No. 1 in all of them.
