MCWS Game Eleven - TCU vs. No. 2 Florida

In today’s 1 pm matchup, TCU takes on No. 2 Florida. TCU is currently 2-1 in the College World Series and is facing elimination from here on out. Florida is still in the driver’s seat of the first bracket by beating Virginia last Friday and then beating Oral Roberts this past Sunday. TCUs last game against Florida also took place in the College World Series in 2017, in which Florida won 3-0.

The pitching matchup will be interesting to watch as Kole Klecker, TCUs ace, goes up against Jac Caglianone, Florida’s standout two-way player who will also be batting in the 3-hole for the Gators. Klecker and Caglianone have borderline identical eras at 3.73 and 3.78, but Klecker has more innings and has walked fewer batters. Caglianone has more strikeouts on the season with a fastball that can reach 100 mph but seems to lose control of his pitches throughout the game.

TCU has eliminated three national seeds in this year's NCAA Tournament and looks to keep their postseason alive as the Horned Frogs take on the Gators in Omaha.

This game will begin at 1 pm CT and will air on ESPN.

MCWS Game Twelve - No. 5 LSU vs. No. 1 Wake Forest

The 6 pm game is a rematch of Monday’s game that ended in classic College World Series fashion, with Wake Forest winning a nail-biter 3-2. LSU will be looking to get revenge after dominating Tennessee from start to finish in last night’s game that ended 6-0.

While LSU has Paul Skenes as their ace, many are predicting that he will not be the starter and could be saved for a possible winner-take-all against Wake Forest. While LSU has been better offensively in the CWS, Wake Forest has much more depth in the bullpen and pitching staff. Some evidence of this is the fact that the Wake Forest bullpen hasn’t been scored on yet, and the pitching staff as a whole hasn’t given up a run in the 4th inning or later.

LSU will need their offense firing on all cylinders if they are to defeat Wake Forest twice in two days to move on to the College World Series Final between either Florida or TCU.

This game will begin at pm CT and will air on ESPN.
