College World Series Wednesday Results: Florida Advances; Bracket Two Still Undecided
The "Greatest Show on Dirt" continues in Omaha. On Wednesday, TCU's dream season ended with a heartbreaking loss to No. 2 Florida, 3-2. The Frogs came from behind to tie the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the 8th, only to give up the winning run in the top of the 9th.
In the other bracket, No. 5 LSU came from behind to give No. 1 Wake Forest its first loss of the Men's College World Series. The two teams will meet again on Thursday night to determine which team will meet Florida in the finals.
College World Series Game Eleven
No. 2 Florida (3-0) 3 - TCU (2-2) 2
After losing in the opening game of the MCWS, the TCU Horned Frogs knew the road ahead would be tough. But they won two straight and made it to the national semifinals. Beating Florida twice was going to be a challenge.
But the pitching staff of Kole Klecker, Ben Abeldt, and Garrett Wright gave it all they could and kept the Frogs in a competitive game. The Frogs fell behind 2-0 in the top of the 1st but cut the deficit to one in the bottom of the 1st. The score would remain 2-1 until the bottom of the 8th when the Frogs would tie the game, only to give up the winning run in the top of the 9th.

College World Series Game Twelve
No. 5 LSU (3-1) 5 -No. 1 Wake Forest (2-1) 2
Wake Forest had the easy path to the finals. Just win and advance. And when they got the game's first runs, they were on their way. But those two runs in the top of the 2nd would be all that the Demon Deacons would get.
LSU would get a run in the bottom of the 2nd to cut the deficit in half. Then in the bottom of the 3rd, thanks to a couple of walks, a single, a wild pitch, and a 3-run home run by second baseman Cade Beloso, the Tigers added four more runs.
LSU would get the win. This sets up a rematch tomorrow night, with the winner advancing to play Florida in the finals. And it sets up an epic pitching dual between the ace pitchers for both programs - Paul Skenes (LSU) and Rhett Lowder (Wake Forest)
Winning Pitcher: Griffin Herring; Losing Pitcher: Seth Keener; Save: Riley Cooper
The two teams each have one loss and will play again on Thursday, June 22, at 6 p.m. CT. The game can be seen on ESPN.
