After starting the season 11-0, the TCU women's basketball team is now ranked in the AP Top 25. The last time the women were ranked was February 24, 2020, when they briefly appeared at No. 25.

The Frogs are also receiving votes in the Coaches Poll.

The Top 25 ranking is the earliest the Frogs have been ranked in the season since the 2010-11 season. The Frogs take on Omaha on Wednesday night. If they were to win that game, it would be the first time to win a nonconference game as a ranked team since beating UTSA on November 19, 2010.

South Carolina remains the top-ranked team in the nation. In the AP Top 25, the remaining Top 5 include UCLA, NC State, Iowa, and Texas. In the Coaches Poll, the remaining Top 5 include UCLA, Iowa, NC State, and USC.

In addition to Texas and TCU, the Big 12 has two other ranked teams and two receiving votes in at least one of the polls.

Here are the Big 12 teams either ranked or receiving votes:

  • Texas - No. 5 in the AP Top 25 and No. 7 in the Coaches Poll
  • Baylor - No. 10 in the AP Top 25 and No. 11 in the Coaches Poll
  • Kansas State - No. 12 in the AP Top 25 and No. 16 in the Coaches Poll
  • TCU - No. 25 in the AP Top 25 and receiving votes in the Coaches Poll (No. 26)
  • West Virginia - Receiving votes in both polls (Nos. 27/29)
  • Texas Tech - Receiving votes in the AP Top 25 (No. 30)
