Men's Basketball Poll Watching Week 17: Frogs Move Up To No. 22

The Frogs went 1-1 last week. It was enough to move up in both polls this week.

The TCU Horned Frogs men's basketball team (19-10) moved up in both polls this week after going 1-1 in games last week.

Just over a month ago, the Frogs were ranked as high as No. 11 and on the verge of cracking the Top Ten. They then went on a four game losing streak. The Frogs have gone 2-1 since that losing streak, with the only loss to a Top Five team in Kansas. 

In this week's polls, TCU moved up two spots to No. 22 in the AP Top 25 Poll. They are also No. 22 in the Coaches Poll after falling out of that poll last week. 

The Top Five teams did not change too much week-over-week. In the AP Poll, the five are identical to last week - Houston, Alabama, Kansas, UCLA, and Purdue. In the Coaches Poll, the only change to the Top Five was Kansas and UCLA flipping with each other. 

For the first time in over a month and a half, there are now only five teams in the Big 12 in the rankings. Iowa State dropped out of both polls this week. Three teams from the league are in the Top Ten. There is no rest for the weary, as every game more than likely has at least one ranked opponent, if not both. In addition to TCU (22/22), other ranked Big 12 teams include Kansas (3/3), Baylor (7/8), Texas (9/7), and Kansas State (11/11). Iowa State is receiving votes in both polls this week, while West Virginia is receiving votes in the AP Poll.
