Hello!

SI here, the guy who knows nothing giving you everything you need to know about TCU athletics.  And that includes basketball.  Or so they tell me.  Regarding the TCU versus Baylor game this Saturday, here are the relevant details:

Tipoff is at 3:00 pm, at Schollmaier Arena, here at our home Fort.

The game can be viewed on Big 12 Now on ESPN2 with Mark Neely and Fran Fraschilla.

Alternatively, TCU fans can listen to the game at 570 KLIF Radio with Brian Estridge and John Denton or listen to or watch the game live from the Riff Ram app.

And now for the inexplicably obligatory narrative.

Now is the winter of our discontent, made boring summer by the sons of Baylor, and all the clouds that lowered upon our Carter in the deep bosom of Schollmaier buried.

Yeah, that, and I'm still pissed.

If 2022 proved the year of the Frog ascending, 2023 is proving the year of the Frog dropped from the roof of SoFi stadium, en masse, to bleed the multitude of their lives away.

Our basketball team, glorious in their devotion to purpose and tendency to upset their skeptics, is battered if not broken, deadened if not dead.  Injuries have been costly, and we are now on a losing streak, first against Oklahoma State, a team which should not have challenged us, then to Kansas State, and after the Big 12 Championship game in football, I'm hemorrhaging purple.

But there's hope yet!

Baylor will be here, at Schollmaier arena.  We can always count on our lads and ladies, whatever the sport, to heed the call when the Bores arrive.  If anything inspires the athletics prowess in a Frog, it's the presence of a Bore.  Perhaps we may credit Baylor at the end of the season for a miraculous turnaround, whereby TCU conquers the Big 12 and goes dancing, all the way to and with the Natty.

Here's to hoping.

Go Frogs!
