Men's Basketball: TCU Lands Two Big Recruits in Malick Diallo and Ashton Simmons
The past couple of days for TCU men's basketball have been tremendous, landing two top recruits in the class of 2024. Ashton Simmons and Malick Diallo join Micah Robinson to make TCU's recruiting class the 14th ranked in the country via 247Sports.
Simmons comes to the Frogs from West Brook High School in Beaumont, Texas. The combo guard is the 197th recruit in the country and number 14th from Texas. He chose the Frogs over schools like Texas A&M, Wichita State, and plenty of other Division I programs.
At 6-foot 2-inches and 190 pounds, Simmons can do it all on the floor. He notably shined at the Nike Elite Youth Basketball Peach Jam, scoring a game-winner to go with a triple-double.
Diallo joins TCU from Wasatch Academy in Utah. Born in Mali, the four-star big man picked the Horned Frogs over programs like BYU, Vanderbilt, Miami, and others.
Diallo is a mobile center who can dominate both sides of the ball with his lengthy frame and finish with power around the basket. He will give the Frogs an instant impact on the interior.
TCU's basketball program continues to excel under Jamie Dixon.
