TCU Women’s Basketball dropped their 4th game in a row in Houston Saturday afternoon by a score of 77-66. While Madison Conner continued her offensive success with her 10th 20-point game of the season, the Frogs still came up short due to a rough offensive performance in the 2nd quarter.

Outside of said 2nd quarter in which the Frogs only scored 9 points compared to Houston’s 21, TCU matched or bettered Houston in every other quarter. Most of Houston’s scoring was centered around their guard Laila Blair who ended the game with 33 points. Blair got help from Bria Patterson who scored 10 points, and N’yah Boyd who scored 12 points.

With Sedona Prince still injured, it’s no surprise that the Horned Frogs’ offense has declined, but there may be a bright spot in this loss in Sydney Harris. In 20 minutes of play, Harris notched 16 points with 7 rebounds in only her third game of the season. Her previous appearances on the court this season have been limited to only 3 minutes in the losses to Texas and Oklahoma State.

With Harris's success on the court against Houston, one could expect her to be more of a factor in the games to come. The Horned Frogs will need all the offensive help they can get as their next Big 12 matchup against #12 Kansas State could be one of the best teams they play all season.
