TCU Women's Basketball Preview: Houston
The last time TCU played Houston, the team looked slightly different, even more so after losing Jaden Owens in the first quarter before falling to the Cougars 77-66.
Since then, the Horned Frogs have found their way as a team, especially with the return of the conference's top three-point shooter, Madison Conner. Since her return, Conner has averaged 20 points a game and made eight three-pointers.
The Horned Frogs could be in for another reinforcement in the dominant force of Sedona Prince. Before being sidelined with a finger injury, Prince was the conference leader in points per game with 21.2, providing a significant presence in rebounding.
However, Houston will be bringing their dominant player, Laila Blair; Blair averages 16.2 points per game and is lethal from beyond the arc, shooting 30% from there.
Key To Victory
As a team, Houston surrenders many points against them, with opponents shooting over 40% against them. The Horned Frogs will look to Madison Conner and Sydney Harris to get the team scoring early.
Record Watch
Madison Conner needs only seven three-pointers to become the all-time TCU record holder for the most three-pointers made in a season.
