The TCU Women's Basketball team got their first loss of the season after a tough midweek battle against longtime rival Baylor. This will be the first time the team has faced some adversity, and it will be essential to see how the team responds, but the matchup is in their favor in this game.

Madison Conner and Sedona Prince lead the Horned Frogs, still the best duo in the conference. Both players are averaging 21 points a contest this season. Conner is shooting above 40% on field goals and three-point attempts this season, and Prince is still averaging a double-double a game with ten rebounds and 21 points per game.

Oklahoma State brings offensive power in their own right. Compared to the Horned Frogs, the Cowboys' entire starting five average double-digit scoring a contest, while TCU only has Conner and Prince in double-digit averages. The OSU team averages nearly 75 points per game, under the year average for the Horned Frogs.

The significant difference between the two teams is the defensive prowess of the Horned Frogs, with the team only allowing 55 points per game to their opponents on average. Prince will be the critical factor for a TCU win; the conference leader in rebounding and blocks will be responsible for limiting the damage done within the arc and controlling the boards for the game.

Key Players to Watch

Madison Conner (TCU)- The nation's leading three-point shooter, averages 21 points per game.

Sedona Prince (TCU)- Leading the conference in rebounds and blocks, 21 ppg.

Jaden Owens (TCU)- Leads the team in assists, with 104 on the season.

Hannah Gusters (OKST)- Leads team in ppg with 16

Stailee Heard (OKST)- Team-leading rebounder with 6 per game.

Both teams want to move to 2-1 in Big 12 play with a win this weekend, and fans can watch the game on ESPN+. The matchup is on Saturday, January 6, at 4 p.m. in Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
