And now for the inexplicably obligatory narrative.
The West-by-God-Virginia Mountaineers (or "Arsonists," as I less flatteringly call them), who will be our welcome visitors at the Carter on Saturday, pose our first real threat since Coach Prime's Buffaloes. As of now, we are matched in the victory/loss differential--3-1. It is a game we cannot afford to overlook.
Nevertheless, I think there is reason for confidence. Each game, our Frogs have improved their play, yard-by-yard, both defensively and offensively. Chandler Morris is quickly proving that he's more than earned his place as our quarterback. The game against SMU left little to be desired, such was our dominance.
Having said that, West Virginia, like Tech, is a team that, no matter how seemingly bad they may be, always threatens an upset. But our guys aren't fools. They're aware of the threat these couch burners pose.
As for the danger of fire, be comforted: I have made clear in my letter to the Arsonists that the bleachers are not flammable.
